Program Overview
MLPS focuses on all domains of learning — Personal and Social Development, the Arts, Social Studies, Language and Literacy, Mathematical Thinking, Scientific Thinking and Physical Development and Health. Concepts are explored through theme-based curricula. MLPS incorporates the Maryland State Department of Education approved The Creative Curriculum, Supporting Every Young Learner, and Healthy Beginnings. Curricula and concepts are integrated daily through play, teacher-directed activities, and child-initiated activities. Biblical themes are an essential part of each day and are present in daily prayers, songs and activities. Weekly Chapel is an important part of the MLPS program.
For more information about MLPS’s programs and policies, please refer to the 2024-2025 Parent Handbook.
